Karara Mining Limited is a joint venture between Gindalbie Metals Limited and AnSteel, one of the largest iron ore producers and steel makers in China. Karara operates an iron ore mine and associated infrastructure in the mid-west region of W.A.
The operation is designed for a +30 year mine life and production of 8Mtpa. It comprises a long life and world-class magnetite deposit; dedicated rail infrastructure; and an integrated train load-out/ship loading facility at our Geraldton port operations. Karara is breaking new ground with the development and ongoing operation of the first significant iron ore mine in the mid- west.
We are looking for a capable and efficient Warehouse Officer to join the site services team. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Officer is responsible for the receipting of inventory, accurate storage and issue of goods in line with Karara policies, procedures and standards.
This role operates on an 8 days on 6 days off roster with adhoc night shift.
Key responsibilities;

- Coordinate the monthly closing process and produce financial statements
- Ensure accurate quantity and quality of inbound goods through completion of the good receipting process including the safe unloading of vehicles.
- Maintain inventory through correct labelling, storage and issuing of materials.
- Prepare documentation in anticipation for collection of goods to be dispatched from site.
- Executing all goods movements in SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) to reflect the quantity, location and availability of items including, the accurate receipt and issue of inventory items.
- Ensure the warehouse facility is secure to safeguard the goods it contains.
- Upkeep preservation of assurance spares and integrity of stock items through correct storage.
- Undertake stocktake activities for managed inventory and issue goods in accordance with customer usage.
- Monitor and receipt site bulk reagents and grinding media requirements.
- Adhere to Karara policies, procedures and standards including, the material issuing and put away procedure at all times.
Key individual requirements;
- Class 'C' 'Drivers License (WA)
- High Risk Work License
- Ticket to operate a reach truck and/or similar equipment.
- Experience working with dangerous goods storage and transport.
- Proven understanding and experience in warehouse and logistics in the mining or other heavy industry.
- Knowledge and experience utilising SAP integrated inventory management system.
- Ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve supply issues collaboratively in a team and autonomously.
